Formulated especially for women, our tea blends red raspberry leaf with balancing lemon balm, mineral rich nettles and alfalfa, rejuvenating ginger to help ease cramping, chamomile for digestion, and rose hips for Vitamin C. We also include lavender for relaxation, spearmint for flavor and cinnamon for taste.

Fall Bulbs in a Box Favors

Eco-friendly Flower Bulb Favor

Our fall bulbs in a box favor is packaged with a 100% recycled box. Inside the box is a fall tulip bulb nestled in a bed of 100% biodegradable premium grade wood excelsior shred. 100% biodegradable raffia ribbon is available for an extra charge and personalized favor labels and tags can be purchased separately.
100% recycled box measures 3″ x 3″ x 2″ (see details below).

Assembly is required as all items will be shipped flat. Boxes, wood fill and other items are shipped separately from bulbs, unless pre-assembly option is chosen. We would be happy to assemble these for your event – simply select “yes” in the drop-down menu below.
100% recycled raffia ribbon is additional if desired.

100% Recycled Favor Box

Natural kraft boxes and white gloss boxes are made from 100% recycled fibers.
Approximately 80% of this is composed of post-consumer recovered fiber. The remaining 20% is pre-consumer fiber sources from industrial trimmings and the like.
These boxes are also 100% recyclable.
A water based varnish stripe is applied to the kraft boxes to give a grooved, textured appearance.
Made in the USA.

Daffodils

Probably nothing in the gardening world is more foolproof and more rewarding than “naturalizing” daffodils. Because unlike most other garden flowers, these fantastic plants are super-easy to plant in fall, they don’t care about soil, as long as it’s well-drained, and they’ll bloom beautifully for you with absolutely no work every spring after you plant them. Best of all, daffodils increase over the years, each bulb developing into a blooming clump. All you have to do is pick the spots. The one thing to remember is that you won’t be able to mow that area until the tops die down. Everything else takes care of itself. In a new or established wildflower meadow, the wildflower plants grow up around the daffodils hiding the fading foliage, so there’s no work to do. And if you’re planting wildflower seed, what could be easier that to pop in the bulbs when you have the ground already turned?

We are busy these days putting together some new favors for the summer and fall! We are using Merckens chocolate, the most heavenly, smooth chocolate I have tasted in a long, long time. Several years ago, The Chocolate Report did an extensive blind-tasting, with a crew of top chefs. Merckens was ranked #1 in both bittersweet chocolate and milk chocolate, and #2 in white chocolate. We have always carried the Fall Chocolate Foil Leaves Kit, and now we have improved it by changing the chocolate to this smooth, creamy milk chocolate. In addition, we are now offering chocolate seashells with silver, blue and pink foil.

Meow! A Real Kitty Cat Birthday Party

Last weekend we celebrated my daughter’s first birthday with a kitty cat birthday party. She loooooves kitties! Let me tell you how difficult it was gathering “real” kitty cat items for the party – all I could find were “cool” cats or hello kitty. Where are the real cats without all the cutesy stuff? We ended up doing a mixture of pink/paisley tableware with kitty cat accents like the favors and birthday signs and favor tags.

I had such fun making my daughter’s first birthday party favors ever. I used some frosted mini take out boxes we have in inventory and bought some neutral “cat” colored pipe cleaners and felt and created faces and tails for the boxes. Then I filled them with Trader Joe’s cat cookies in both chocolate and vanilla and attached a tag with the new kitty cat design. I wanted something simple but also cute and came up with this cat favor label and tag design.

Naturally, my daughter is too young to remember this birthday or these favors, but the day was so special for me that I wanted to something fun and memorable. I think Sarah enjoyed the oversized singing Elmo balloon from her Aunt more than anything else. Well, maybe the cat cake, because it was all sugar and all chocolate. Everyone that came the party got to take a favor box home with them and after such a wonderful day, they seemed happy to take some of the party home with them.

M&M Candy Gifts and Favors

My father and I had a game while I was growing up. Okay, maybe it was more when I was over the age of 13 and too old for real games with Dad. Being a typical teenager, I liked the idea of having fun with him without actually admitting it. It was always m&ms, and I have no idea how it even started. We would take a package and hide them and one of us would give the other a clue somehow, by leaving a note somewhere. It was always something cryptic, which my dad was great at, something like, “Soup’s on” or something a little more obscure. This game seemed to end when I was living in my own apartment and Dad insisted the m&m’s were hidden somewhere in the apartment. I won’t say where they were hidden, but that was the end of the m&m game.

I still love m&m’s and I have a special place in my heart thanks to Dad and our fun together. There are so many things you can do with m&m’s nowadays, and I especially love the new wedding colors! We have so many favor packaging ideas these m&m’s would go wonderfully with them. We also have some classic wedding labels that would coordinate with the new colors.
